Care & Maintenance

Your modular organising trays do not need much care. Below you will find some basic guidelines for making sure your trays look their best forever.

Washing:

If you need to wash your wood trays (especially if using them for food), it’s best to wash and dry them by hand.
Use warm water, a little dish soap and a regular sponge or cloth - avoid abrasive cloths or scour-sponges.

After washing, allow your trays to fully dry (using a tea towel and/or air-dry) before using or storing.

Resealing:

Your wooden trays will be best protected when they have a layer of wood sealant. We used natural wood sealant (linseed) for your trays, but you can use any natural wood oil or wax.
Apply a thin layer about once every 2 years or so, depending on use. If you wash your trays frequently, it’s best to apply a fresh coat of sealant every 12 months.

Scratches, Dents or Stains.

If you use your trays everyday, there’s a chance you may get some minor scratches and scuffs if you are dropping and picking up things like metal stationery, jewellery, or the like, in your trays.
