Make + Materials

Acacia wood is a tough, water-resistant and beautiful looking hardwood. The distinct striped grain pattern spans from golden-yellow to dark coffee-brown with small parallel 'dashes' speckled throughout the wood, truly standing out amongst other types of wood. 

One Bowl = One Piece

Each bowl is turned from one solid piece of wood, making for a beautiful experience in the hand and on the table, and ensuring that your bowl will last for as long as you decide to keep it for without cracking or breaking. 

Fig wood (also known as jujube) comes from the fig tree, and is lightweight, strong and has a slightly darker tone than acacia with more hints of deep red. Each cup is also turned from a single piece of wood to ensure a solid design, crafted by nature and hands together. 

Smooth, Sealed Surface

All items are detailed for a smooth touch and sealed by hand with a natural wood sealant to preserve the natural wood colouration.

Washing:

  • Hand wash & dry when possible.
  • Use dishwasher for wood only occasionally and if really needed, use the lowest heat/time settings.

Resealing:

  • You can reseal your wooden plates with a food-safe wood sealant about once a year, depending on use (but it's not mandatory).
  • It's easy to make at home (guide here) or buy a food-safe wood sealant in most hardware stores.
